Artists for the Kalang Headwaters
Over 2 days selected Artists will explore and capture their responses to the Kalang Headwaters, a magnificent environmental treasure. The body of work that will come from this Immersion experience will be presented at a highly-anticipated exhibition at the Bellingen Picture and Framing Gallery on March 20th 2020. The exhibition is aimed to raise awareness and funds for the ongoing campaign to protect this unique region from the devastating effects of proposed logging activities.

The threat to our koalas, and many other species, from logging is devastating. NSW Forestry is preparing to log massive areas of pristine Kalang forest that is home to koalas, quolls, glossy black cockatoos and hundreds of other forest dwellers.
Please help to make a difference. Please help to raise money to donate specifically to the KRFA, on the mid north coast of NSW Australia. This entire community is working tirelessly to save the Kalang forests from NSW Forestry Corp commercial logging. The money will help enormously with their fundraising. It will be used specifically to help with costs of travel, workshops, environmental education, hiring of professional services such as scientists and ecologists, & social / environmental surveys. All of these are necessary to democratically prove that these magnificent forests must be protected.
As the threat is now imminent, we can’t afford to give up on our pristine river, threatened and endangered species of Australian flora & fauna & our magnificent forests. Now is the time.
